We have added a new mechanical system to the family! Say hello to the Sphincter, the bio-inspired gripper system. The human body has over 60 types of sphincters in the body who's primary function is to allow or restrict substances to flow through a passageway. We aimed to replicate and repurpose this concept to be able to close in and grip onto a object, rendering it immobile.
